Bubble Dance

This was a few days ago when it was the Perfect day...about 75 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Jenna and Austin had such a good time playing with the bubbles and Missy, the dog.

Nothing Bundt Cakes

Pronounced like nothing but cakes, is THE BEST cake you have ever ever put in you mouth. I am now a firm believer in cake once more. We ordered this cake from an ad I saw in Society Life that we get once a month and get a free one once a month for six months and my goodness you have to get on their website www.nothingbundtcakes.com to see if they have one in your area or have it delivered because believe me it is worth it.

Randall's Birthday Pics!

Randall's 27 Birthday!

So I know that this post is almost a month behind but now that I am getting around to it...there will be lots to see. I think that I have outdone myself as far as the decorations and party went. It was bigger and better than the Shrek party last year when we were visiting and so much has happened since then. Hopefully we are all a little wiser and learned a little bit more. I had been planning this party for about a month now and figured out the perfect gift for Randall. He lost his wedding ring about 4 or 5 monthes ago, so a few weeks after we got here. I think that one of the kids carted if off...but I guess we'll never know since I have literally turned the house upside down (sorry mom) numerous times looking for it. I finally gave up and decided that it was the perfect gift for his birthday. I knew we were kind of on a budget since he started his job and so to find the perfect one was a little hard but I was up to the challenge, as was the sales lady at the jewelry store. I led him on about what I might be getting him for about six weeks and if you know Randall at all, surprises drive him crazy. He guessed every day and I waited until two days before his birthday to go get it so he wouldn't go looking for it. I went to Walgreens the day of his birthday and wanted him to have lots of little useless things so he would be a little disappointed when it came to my birthday. I bought a handheld Yahtzee game and two of those freezer cups. I wrapped one and put the other in an empty wipes box with the ring box inside it. It was classic...he opened it up and thoroughly confused as he went on...the ring was on a tiny foam finger key chain inside the other freezer cup. He loved it and it was the perfect surprise. I now know that even though it was the perfect party complete with sports themed music and decorations, I don't know how I am going to top it for next year! I love ya babe, can't wait for the next 50 birthdays!

Oklahoma!

It has been busy since the kids and I got back from visiting family in Oklahoma. These are just a few pics that I took while we were there. Mostly just family and stuff, but the kids had such a good time following around my cousins kids!

Memories...

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. I can't wait to see what people remember.

The last couple weeks have been pretty exciting...Jenna turned 3, Austin turned 1, and oh yeah- Randall got a new job with Countrywide Financial!!! Finally all that hard work has paid off. Austin is getting so close to walking and he is loving it. Jenna is doing so well helping out, she loves being the big sister. We have been enjoying the wonderful weather going swimming everyday and taking walks in the park.

The last three months...

So much has happened in the last three months its not even funny. The first and most recent was that Randall and I graduated in the end of April and move to Texas a week later for him to get a job. We are adjusting to the heat and loving every minute of it. Austin turned one this past weekend and it was sad and wonderful day for everyone. I was sad as a mother just a little bit at the thought that my baby is no longer a baby! But a bouncing little boy...as he should be but slightly sad none the less. He had no idea what was going on and was not excited about being stripped down to his diaper to play in the cake. He is apparently not one for messes. I think Jenna was more excited than he was. Other than that things are wonderful!

Update!

Here is an update on the latest and greatest crazy month or two since I have updated this thing! We had an awesome Christmas with my family in town, 7 people in our house at once for one week! This semester I decided to take the semester off since we couldn't get the kids into the daycare on campus. Which ended up being a tremendous blessing for this week Austin was in the hospital. He had ear infections in both ears, RSV, and bronchiolitis. It was pretty intense and scary. No mother should have to go through that with their own child. He was on oxygen and an IV and had to be suctioned out with a tube that was about 8 inches long down his nose about every two hours. But with some aggressive treatments and LOTS of prayers he was able to come home after five days. Things now are just about back to normal. Randall's mom just returned home after getting here the day after he got to the hospital to help us. We had so many people here willing to help out it was wonderful.

Thanksgiving Update

Well we had a pretty exciting Thanksgiving Break. We decided that it would be worth it to take off Monday and Tuesday from school and drive to Los Angeles. We spent the first day with my grandparents and then went on to Randall's aunt and uncles house. His whole family was there and had a BLAST! Jenna got to spend some time with her Nana and Grandpa Max and some of her cousins. She probably had the best time of all. The day after Thanksgiving we all went to Knottsbury Farm, which is kind of like Six Flags. Jenna got to ride on a bunch of rides and we had as much fun watching her as she did on the rides themselves. We then drove home and stayed in Las Vegas to split the drive up.
Jenna got a kick out of seeing the water light show at the Bellagio and the lion house in the MGM Grand. This week was the last week of class and next week will conclude the semester with finals. Randall is excited to start up his last semester in January and I am just anxious to finish school in the next year and a half. The kids are growing like weeds and learning new things, as well as teaching me new things everyday. Austin probably makes the most noticeable progress, but Jenna's are just as important. Austin got his first two teeth last week and is doing really well on solids and rolling over. Jenna is working on her reading skills and potty training, which just might be the death of me. But it will all be worth it to not have to change so many diapers a day! But let us know how you all are doing, and P.S if you have any pictures of Thanksgiving Break please email them to me.
